Cruise Description

29 Night Cruise sailing from Rome to San Diego aboard Celebrity Infinity.

A sumptuous, world-class meal. A theatrical extravaganza reminiscent of the best on Broadway. Cocktails in a piano bar at midnight, breakfast overlooking the sea at sunrise. Each and every one is a reality on Infinity. A member of the Millennium class of ships, Infinity is steeped with prestige and elegance. Dressed in polished marble, warm woods and etched glass, Infinity consistently makes a long-lasting, luxurious impression.

Highlights of this cruise:

Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy
Civitavecchia was settled in 108 A.D. by the Emperor Trajan and has since served faithfully as a gateway to the capital of the Empire - Rome. Once the center of the Ancient World from which emperors ruled over nearly all of western civilization, Rome is still a cultural mecca. Stroll the ancient halls of the Colosseum or gaze upon the ceilings of the Sistine Chapel.

Barcelona, Spain
Formerly a sleepy Spanish city, Barcelona has recently been reborn as an eclectic fusion of the modern and medieval. Seek inspiration from the creations of its modernist architect, Antonio Gaudi, or the Picasso Museum. Or, take in the breathtaking cathedrals in the Gothic Quarter.

Cartagena, Spain
During the 16th and 17th centuries, when Spain held sway over the rest of Europe and the New World, much of its naval power was projected from the port of Cartagena. Many of the coastal fortifications from that era still exist, although instead of guarding the city, they provide splendid views of the harbor.

Malaga, Spain
Malaga is the gateway to the Andalusian countryside and the Costa del Sol, some of the region's most impressive beaches. It also is home to a number of magnificent palaces, including the Moorish Alcabaza and Gibralfaro.

Tenerife, Canary Islands
Beyond its steep and rugged coastline, Tenerife is a cultural and natural wonder waiting to be explored. Discover mysterious step pyramids at Güímar, meet the world’s largest collection of parrots at Loro Park, or take in a show at the ultra-modern Tenerife Auditorium. Foodies will have fun sampling the fresh fish, famous cheeses and sumptuous wines of the island.

Miami, Florida
South Florida's exciting, international city is much more than the gateway to Latin America. It's one of the world's most popular vacation destinations. With its world-renowned beaches, unrivaled nightlife, unique culinary experiences and Latin flavor, this is one place you'll want to check out. Before departing from Miami, enjoy a tour that will highlight this exciting city.

Panama Canal (Cruising)
The canal is a marvel of engineering, but the area is also a sanctuary for sloths, eagles, ocelots and toucans, thanks to a lush rainforest environment and tropical temperatures.

Puntarenas
The world knows Costa Rica for its ecological biodiversity and national parks, and Puntarenas welcomes you to many of these treasures—Pacific beaches, renowned surfing, rainforests, and wildlife. Ride horseback through secluded tropical forests or along the wide open beach. Head down the coast to Playa Jaco, which draws surfers from around the world for international competitions. Plunge below the surface to discover reefs teeming with marine life. Spot monkeys, crocodiles, scarlet macaws, and other birds by cruising through the mangroves or up the Tárcoles River. Hike through the lush rainforest or fly over it by zip line. Launch out to Prison Island and learn about its haunting history before kicking back for lunch on Tortuga Beach. Duck into a family-run restaurant, called a soda, to find authentic Costa Rican cooking. Order the gallo pinto, Costa Rica’s national dish, or try the ceviche, made from the catch of the day "cooked" in lemon juice. Order a taco, called a tico, from a food truck. To find souvenirs, stroll the Paseo de los Turistas, a bustling beachfront promenade. While in Puntarenas, meet the local vendors selling hand-made crafts and score a fresh bag of rich Costa Rican coffee.

Puerto Vallarta
Travel through the locks of historic Panama Canal, on a journey between the Atlantic and the Pacific. Venture through the virgin rain forests and bird sanctuaries of Puerto Limon. Then bask on the Mexican and Costa Rican beaches with a margarita.

Multiple ports will give your vacation a variety. Quaint villages one day. Mayan ruins the next. Peppered with relaxing beach trips and adventurous excursions both sailing above the trees and diving deep beneath the seas.

San Diego, California
Bordered by the Anza-Borrego Desert, the Laguna Mountains, and the Pacific Ocean, San Diego is blessed with a year-round Mediterranean climate, which only adds to the attraction of its 70 miles of beaches. Before embarking on a cruise from San Diego, make sure to pad in some extra time to explore this wonderful Southern California city. Its consistently pleasant weather also means that there are plenty of non-stop outdoor activities to enjoy—from paragliding and kayaking to Legoland and the San Diego Zoo. The superb dining options are endless throughout this city, too. Head over to Liberty Public Market for a quick fix and sample a variety of foods on offer, like empanadas, Thai, and freshly baked pastries from top-notch vendors.
